Taste Test - Chocolate Cinnamon Bears

So, I have heard many people rave about the Chocolate-Covered Cinnamon Bears, particularly a certain cousin who likes to buy them at the BYU Bookstore, but I had never tried them. The fact came up randomly at a meeting with my contact at Western Nut Company a few days ago. He of course was shocked and informed me that this fine treat is a Utah product...I think he said Sweet's Candy invented the cinnamon bear and later invented dunking it in chocolate... I do know that he said that it is Sweet's second best selling item, just under Orange Sticks.
As I left, he gave me a bag of the bears & I committed to try them. In the spirit of trying new things ("What is the last thing you did for the 1st time?") I opened the bag as soon as I had a chance and took a bite. I have to say that the mix of flavors is quite interesting, although not my favorite.
I took an unofficial poll by traveling desk to desk in the Marketing Dept and offering to share. I'd say that 30% LIKED the bears, 55% LOVED the bears, 10% REALLY LOVED the bears and come asking for more later, and 5% ate the head off and tossed the rest. (For the record I had to set the bear on the top of the PR Director's paper work & tell him that the bear would be staring at him until he ate it...so I don't know if he really gave it a fair shot.)
My conclusion - Chocolate-Covered Cinnamon Bears are definitely worth tasting, especially if you are a Utah native & enjoy trying local treats. However, I think I'll stick with Raspberry Sticks...
